About the Temple

A spectacular white marble temple located on the 280-foot high Kalapahad (Naubat Pahad) hillock in Hyderabad. The temple was built completely in white marble and offers a breathtaking view of the lake and city.

History: Built by the Birla Foundation in 1976, the temple took 10 years to complete. It was constructed by over 2,000 sculptors who came from Rajasthan and Odisha.

Significance: The temple uniquely combines South Indian, Rajasthani, and Odishan architectural styles. The 11-foot tall granite idols are beautifully carved. The temple also displays the life events of Buddha.

Darshan Timings: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM
