Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple (Dwaraka Tirumala)
About the Temple
Known as 'Dwaraka Tirumala' or 'Chinna Tirumala', this temple is located on a hill and is considered the second most important Venkateswara temple after Tirumala. The temple architecture resembles the Tirumala temple.
History: According to legend, Lord Venkateswara halted here on his way to Tirumala and established this shrine. The temple has been patronized by the Chalukyas and Vijayanagara rulers.
Significance: The temple is believed to be as powerful as Tirumala for devotees who cannot visit the Seven Hills. The hill has 11 steps representing 11 crore prayers.
